How long does a bathroom reno REALLY take and why?

Image
By Sarah Nolen I, like anyone, am a true fan of a great before & after makeover. And that’s exactly what reality TV has harnessed. The fact that you’re reading this article now assures me that you’ve been accustomed to fast- tracked renovation shows that are showcased every evening for our viewing pleasure. The reason why they show bathrooms completely stripped out and made afresh in only a few episodes is because there is no way on earth they’d maintain your attention if you were to sit through a real life renovation . That this new, slightly larger boat closely follows the theme established by the 380 should be no surprise perhaps because the Integrity 380 Sedan is quite a success story. Widely acclaimed, it continues to sell very well indeed and will of course continue alongside its younger sibling. The numbers aren’t remarkable. Beam has increased only200mm from 4.1 to 4.3 metres and while this doesn’t seem much on paper, for those familiar with the 380, how much more space there is inside the 440 comes as a surprise. In fact, the most profound change in the 440 Sedan has probably gone unnoticed. This would be the raising of the deck level to increase headroom “downstairs” in the two staterooms and the bathroom. Surprisingly, the 440’s overall height hasn’t increased significantly– which is an important point for people based somewhere like the Gold Coast where bridge clearance can certainly be an issue...
