A refurbished 65 square meter apartment in the beating heart of Barcelona

A house to enjoy in good company – located in the pulsing heart of the Catalan nightlife – with double bedroom and a reading mezzanine area

A 65 square meter refurbished apartment in the historic heart of Barcelona. Located in a building dating back to the early 1900, the three-room apartment has been redesigned by Miel Arquitectos in collaboration with Studio P10, according to the functionality of the spaces and their use.

The arrangement of the house is interestingly unusual: on a rather compact surface two tiny housing units coexist, each one provided with its own sleeping area and bathroom. Right in the middle lies a small living area, with a kitchen and an open space dining room.

The abundant natural light flooding from the windows and the warmth of the oak wood accompanied by the original Mediterranean style tile flooring are inviting elements to communal living. The light colors and the custom-made furniture provide a very lively yet intimate atmosphere. The challenge? The right balance between privacy and sharing.
