Who wouldn't love a long, luxuriant, rejuvenating experience after a long, hard day's work? But a spa isn't an everyday indulgence. First off its an expensive proposition, secondly not everyone can afford the time required for a spa ritual. What if there were a way to get a spa like experience everyday in the privacy of your home. Quite simply that means transforming your bathroom into a spa. How do you achieve that? Read on...

1) Shower panels: Shower panels are an amazing way to simulate a massage in the bathroom. Simply because they have nozzles aimed at different parts of the body with varying pressure settings. Who needs a Swedish masseuse when your shower can be just as effective at soothing your frayed nerves.

2) Bath salts: Aromatherapy is an integral part of the spa therapy experience. To replicate the same ambience in your home spa, rely on bath salts. Bath salts offer the exotic smells that you crave with the added benefit of being excellent sources of cleansing and nourishment for your skin.

3) Aromatherapy oils: Also known as essential oils, these oils are the very same ones used by professional masseuses at your spa. Remember that each essential oil is used for a different purpose. For instance lavender and chamomile are excellent stress relievers, for an instant perk up a combination of lemon tree and tea oil is recommended, if you just want to soak in the decadence of the experience, rose oil and jasmine come highly recommended. Stock up on your favourite essences to make bath time a seriously relaxing one.

Recommended in complementary scents to the aromatherapy oils you use, scented candles come in a wide variety of aromas from the more common essential oils to exotic variants like clove and chocolate, cookies and cream and the downright decadent chocolate butter.

5) Multi setting shower jets: Think of a multi setting shower jet as a way of relieving tension with targeted, sustained settings that will relieve stress with variable pressure settings that can be controlled by you. A simple twist of the shower nozzle and you can transport yourself into a zone of sheer bliss and tranquility and forget all your worries.

6) Shower gels: The final act in transforming your bathroom into the spa you deserve, will need you to switch from using bath soap to using shower gels. Think of storing these in lovely liquid soap containers for ease of dispensation and zero wastage.

Transforming your bathroom into a spa could seriously increase your relaxation quotient and the way you spend time after a hard day's work.
