Modular Floating Cabins : DD16 Floating Cabin

The DD16 Floating Cabin is a modular house designed by Moscow-based 'Bio Architects.'

This cabin was made to be transportable and offer self-sustainable accommodations. There is a growing group of people in Russia seeking an off-the-grid lifestyle. This modular cabin aims to satisfy this group by delivering a pre-fabricated off-the-grid option. The cabin consists of a double bed, a kitchen, deck and bathroom with a shower and compostable toilet. The kitchen table folds up to make the cabin a more multi-functional space and the facade of the cabin is made of glass to brighten up the space and provide a great view.

While the DD16 Floating Cabin requires a crane or helicopter to be transported, portable pontoons allow the building to float on water or remain securely on land.
