Good, cheap accommodation in Bath - Review of The Beds at Bath, Bath

The accommodation is in student halls, although in a block specifically used for guests and visiting academics.

We chose to stay here because, although room prices were comparable with other hotels in Bath, the cost of car parking was significantly cheaper (£5.50 for a week long permit). This is an incredibly good price for Bath, which has a real problem with traffic and availability of parking! There is a cheap and frequent bus service from the university into the centre of Bath, so the accommodation is very conveniently located.

The room we stayed in was in the new Woodland Court building. It was adequately furnished but the laminate flooring made it feel very cold and clinical. The en suite was a tiny pod style bathroom, which flooded every time the shower was used.

All rooms have access to a self catering kitchen and communal seating area. However, be wary of storing your food in the communal fridges as it may well disappear! (I learnt this the hard way).

Overall the accommodation was acceptable, but by far the worst 4 star accommodation I've ever stayed in!
