We take a look at some of Kaldewei's iconic products, starting with the new limited edition Dragon Conoflat, developed exclusively for the Asian market in collaboration with German fine porcelain makers Meissen. For this special edition, Kaldewei's iconic Conoflat, the multi award-winning enamelled shower tray has been hand-painted with an intricate dragon motif at the Meissen porcelain factory, before being finished in a firing process at Kaldewei.
A traditional symbol of prosperity and good fortune, Meissen’s traditional Ming dragon was the ideal motif for the limited edition produced by Kaldewei and Meissen. The dragon motif and the intricate craftsmanship of Meissen’s artists stand out as a particularly striking design on Kaldewei’s enamelled shower floor panel Conoflat – the dragon was adapted to fit perfectly onto the shower tray. The enamelled drain cover, a characteristic design element of Kaldewei Conoflat, is adorned with Meissen’s familiar crossed swords.
“Kaldewei and Meissen are a perfect match – both stand for German companies with a long tradition and substantive values, complementing each other beautifully,” explains Nicole Roesler, head of Marketing and Product Management at Kaldewei. “The Chinese market is developing rapidly with highly positive results; its luxury segment in particular will soon be one of the key markets for Kaldewei,” Roesler says.
Produced in a limited edition of just 49 unique shower trays, the Dragon Conoflat will be available for purchase in the Asian market starting July 2012.
