MAKE A GROMMET-TOPPED SHOWER CURTAIN

Image
Topped Shower Curtain " src="http://madincrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/HowtoSewaGrommetToppedShowerCurtain_thumb.png" alt="How to Sew a Grommet Topped Shower Curtain " width="700" height="1049" style="border: 0px;" /> This is a sponsored post.  I was given free material from Online Fabric Store in exchange for my work, but the opinions are 100% my own. I did quite a bit of in-store and online shopping for a new shower curtain for our bathroom, and I ran into the same problem I do with most shopping.  The curtains that I liked were way too expensive, and the curtains I could afford were kind of ugly.  I was a little scared to try making my own shower curtain , but in the end my cheap nature conquered my fears. At the end of June, I asked my facebook fans which of these fabrics they thought would look the best in our upstairs bathroom.  The colors in the center square represent the paint color on our new bathroom wall ...

Why I Don’t Like Massive Penises: A Cautionary Tale

Image
Shutterstock Disclaimer: this story is not for the faint hearted, squeamish or those easily put off of massive penises. The first time I met Sonic (he had tragically spikey hair ) was my 21st birthday party . One of my favorite boys in the whole wide world (though he has since fucked off to Australia and abandoned me and our mojito nights) brought him along to the house party. Thanks, G, I really owe you an aids burger for that one. To be honest, I have very little memory of the night – quelle suprise. But from what I’ve been told, we really hit it off. So much so that we ended up in my room together. I have no memory of this but he later told me that nothing happened. Apparently I talked about all my teddy bears and then showed him my underwear. I know what you’re thinking. But, no. Not the underwear I was wearing. The underwear in my drawer. Which he then rated out of 10. He added me on Facebook the next day. Fast forward four months to me in da club, fucked off my face. Now, I wasn’...

The Transformative Power of Paint: Peacock Blue Bathroom

Image
Well, as I’ve been hinting around here and elsewhere, I got a wild hair at the weekend and decided to paint the bathroom. I haven’t shown much of my bathroom on my blog because it was just so blah with cream tiles, crummy cream laminate flooring that never quite looks clean, a swirly artex ceiling (mmm sexy) , white walls and a very large mirror that’s antiquing a bit – and not in a good way.  We have talked about ripping out the whole thing and starting again many times but the kitchen remodel has taken priority and the bathroom has taken a back seat. I had put a framed print and a shelf up months ago and finally decided to move a second print into the room last weekend which had been in the hallway just outside the bathroom.  It was only once I decided the second print actually added something to the room that I decided to just take the plunge and work with what I have until the time comes when we can look at spending proper money and energy on a remodel. One of the first times I ...

How to Help with Bathing and Personal Hygiene: Top Tips from Caregivers

As your loved one gets older, their changing mental status and physical condition may lead to some significant alterations in their daily habits. One of the biggest issues that many families experience is a serious lapse in their loved ones’ desire and ability to maintain their personal hygiene. It’s true that most seniors don’t necessarily need to bathe as often due to their sensitive skin and relatively low activity levels , but semi-regular washing is crucial for their health and your sanity. Little or no attention to certain “hot spot” areas can contribute to urinary tract infections , and accumulated bodily oils , bacteria and dirt can cause rashes, irritaiton and skin diseases. Worst of all, a loved one’s odor can become unbearable and embarrassing for you and your family. When it comes to bathing and showering, there is usually a deeper cause for a loved one’s refusal to wash up than just “not wanting to.” Bathrooms are notoriously slick and hard, so for a senior who is not st...
